Saint Catherine’s Academy is an Archdiocesan co-educational Catholic school, owned and operated by the Archdiocese of San Fernando, Pampanga. It is located in Porac, Pampanga as the first non-stock, non-profit co-educational sectarian school established by Fr. Santiago Blanco, O.S.A. in 1951 beside Saint Catherine of Alexandria Parish.
As an Archdiocesan School under the jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of San Fernando (Pampanga), Saint Catherine’s Academy is a member of the Archdiocese of San Fernando Educational System (ASFES). It is also a member of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP).
In April 1961, SCA:CCEI received recognition from the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS) and initially offered secondary education alongside with pre-school and elementary education in 1955. Subsequently, as it continues to offer quality education certified by the Private Education Assistance Committee – Fund for Assistance to Private Education (PEAC-FAPE) on February 1, 2015, scholarship grants have been given to deserving students with the amount of 9,000.00. On the same year on November 24, it was permitted to operate Senior High school with the voucher of 80% (from the private) and 100% (from the public).
At present, with the directives of the present director Rev. Fr. Elmer G. Dizon Ph. D., Saint Catherine’s Academy is a member of the Archdiocese of San Fernando Educational System (ASFES) and Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP). The director has adopted Dynamic Learning Program in the Intermediate and High school levels and currently adopting the blended learning in this time of pandemic.
In the exercise of its functions and mandated tasks as a Catholic institution, SCA:CCEI is guided by its Vision-Mission-Goals through constant recognition, practice of core values and sacramental programs.
